The Owner has a wide range of responsibilites and obligations in administering a project.  In addition to the contractual responsibilities between the Owner, Architect and Contractor, there are also the reporting responsibilities to financial institutions, inspection and testing reviews, relations with code authorities, internal reviews and audits. 

RHarper Consulting Group performs these functions on behalf of the Owner.  We provide these services in a way the Owner still has the necessary control, but without the time consuming activities involved.  For more information, please click here.

Many projects are plagued by change orders.  The volume of proposed changes on a project can quickly become overwhelming.  RHarper Consulting Group is experienced in performing change order audits.  We prefer to work on a contingency basis for this service.  In other words, unless we find unrealized value in the change order audit a significant portion of our fee for this service is at risk. 

In addition to a critical review of the change order we can provide an analysis to determine the root cause of the changes; owner change, code requirement, architect error/omission, scope change, etc.  This analysis can help pinpoint areas in your project processes requiring more focus.

The change order audit may also be an important element for forensic purposes or as support for a claim or arbitration.
